Who on here has had irregular periods and still conceived or maybe later what did you do to get them back on track Or idk
@trailertrashqueen., do you know the name of the pill you were on by chance
The pill, at one point after stopping the depo shot, my body was so messed up, I ended up going on the pill for awhile, it straightened everything back out, once I discontinued the pill, I was pregnant with baby number 4, 6 months later.
Edit to add, I've always had irregular periods, how ever what I told you above, the depo shot was what caused that problem, other wise I never had problems conceiving because of irregular periods.
@2angelbabiesrainbowbabysoon, I thought the same thing when my doctor first recommended it. lol. It’s a circle so I would always just twist it to make it as small as possible and then stuck it in as far as I could. It unfolds itself in there. Mine always stayed. Even while having sex. My doctor said that if it would happen to fall out to just put it back in unless it was to fall in the toilet or something like that.
@brittanystewart304, Girl the thing about that is it’s hard for me to do stuff like that what happens if I put it in the wrong place or don’t place it right lol that’s the things I worry about i was on the patch not long ago and it started leaving welts on my skins and turning red marks so that’s why I have an obgyn appointment tomorrow
@2angelbabiesrainbowbabysoon, you put it in and it stays in for 3 weeks. The very last day of the third week or the day of the 4th week you take it out and leave it out for a week. And during that week you’ll have a period.
@2angelbabiesrainbowbabysoon, you do it yourself.
@brittanystewart304, so do you do it your self or do the doctor do it for you
@2angelbabiesrainbowbabysoon, I was nervous at first but you can’t even tell it’s in there. I never had any problem with it coming out or anything.
@brittanystewart304, I’m scared to do the nuva ring and the others that stay up in you lol
@2angelbabiesrainbowbabysoon, I started out with the pill but then I got to where I was forgetting to take it so I got the nuva ring and loved it. It was always right on track.
@brittanystewart304, what kind of birth control did you take
Also got pregnant before they straightened out.
Before I had my daughter mine were irregular and then after I had her they still were a little bit so I got birth control and it helped them. I had finally started having one every month.
I have PCOS, which gave me irregular periods that would last months at a time, and also gave me severe weight gain. I was on the Mirena for 5 years which helped eliminate my periods and then I had gastric bypass surgery which helped me lose 150 lbs, and when I lost all the weight, my body rebooted itself and my periods got normal, and when I removed my mirena because it expired I got pregnant 3 weeks later.
