Omg I was able to get my baby to latch on both of my boobs today after a couple days of giving her a bottle I’m so happy I had just pumped for a few minute to give her a bottle and decided to see if she’d take my nipple which she did! Only thing is every time I figured she might be full because she came off my nipple when I put her down she’d cry so I kept putting her back on my breast to feed..how can I be sure she’s actually drinking milk and not just using my nipple like a pacifier?

Your milk may not be in yet.... Could possibly still be colostrum. When you pumped is it yellow or white. Colostrum is yellow. Your doing a great job, don't give up. Breastfeeding is very demanding and at times stressful. You are doing the very best for your baby😍.... Would you like to be added in a breastfeeding chat?
@ivegot10, k I couldn’t really hear anything but I listened closely and I could hear it thanks at least I know she’s getting milk but it takes a long time lol
You can hear her swallowing the milk .. (suck suck swallow) lol... At 5 days, most babies will basically be attached at the boob.... Just feed her on demand, if she wants to nurse, let her.
