Advice needed! So Allaiyah does 10-15 minutes of tummy time daily. But the problem is she simply refuses to do it unless she's using her tummy time pillow. I'm just worried she's not going to learn to crawl or anything. I've tried starting off using the pillow and removing it a minute or so in but she just lays there chewing her hands. What do I do? Just feel like a crap mum at this point 🙈😭
@sara-lou86 it's such a relief I should of just asked about it in the first place in getting myself worked up for days 🙈😂
Both of my boys rarely did tummy time as they both hated it. I gave up trying with Max lol. They both crawled. Babies always find a way to move and get about in their own time.
Mickey hated tummy time and would barely lift his head. Now he's fine. Still not crawling but we're shuffling backwards. Every baby is completely different. You're doing a brilliant job xx
@megan-leigh No she wont fall behind hun :) theres no set time..babies do things in their own time....Friends babies didnt crawl until 10 months or later....crawling doesnt even have to be reached...my brother just sat at 10 months...didnt crawl..didnt move or roll lol...he was walking by 14 months xx
@winterbaby95 She enjoys it with her pillow just worried she was falling behind. Because we are always playing, singing, listening to nursery rhymes and learning songs. So it would upset me if she was 🙈 xx
@megan-leigh Yeah with reflux babies often dont like being on their backs or front :) and 6 minutes is perfect :) 5-10mins aday i think is what they say xx
@muffinmay I seem to worry about things all the time 😂 like when she's in bed and I'm watching and listening to her on the monitor I'll still go in like 5 times to check on her🙈x
@megan-leigh don't your a fab mum :) all babies are different :) she's an amazing little girl with an amazing mum don't worry yourself too much :) first time parenting is 98% making it up and 2% following what other people say to do 😂
@erincharliebubba @abbyrose @courtniek98x @winterbaby95 @muffinmay @nataliielouiseexo Thanks girls feel a lot better now! When using her pillow she does it for like 6 minutes at a time and holds herself quite well too. But I was so worried that her still using the pillow at her age was bad🙈 She doesn't enjoy tummy time on us either. She prefers being sat upright and looking at us. Not sure whether reflux could have anything to do with it?🤔 Been getting myself so worked up for days feeling like I'm failing💔 xx
Kai always used his pillow til he was rolling over and pushing himself up, don't worry she's still doing it and eventually she'll do it herself when she wants to 😄xx
aggie didn't crawl till she was almost one 🙄 she didn't like being on her belly but she did bum shuffle and then stand up at 8months so technically she was sofa surfing before she could crawl 🤣 😂
Crawling isnt a milestone really...not all babies crawl :) tummy time can be done on your chest :) I rarely did proper on the floor tummy time to be honest :) and Maya crawled at 6 months xx
Harper never did tummy time hun and she was crawling by 7 months old every baby is different xx
Olivia hated tummy time all she would do is cry but one day she just learnt to get on her knees then by 6 months she was crawling and she literally did hardly any tummy time so don't worry xx
Hun your doing amazing there’s no need to worry every baby learns in their own time 💖with or without the tummy time! They watch us all day every day and learn as time goes on. No need to feel crap hun again your doing amazing 🌸xxx
So I've started elimination communication with my 8 month old. She's been doing pretty good. she's used the potty four times already. And just now bc she was so restless. Her latest span was 3 hours. But she finally peed and now she's playing.

is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know
the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page
omg... I'm so depressed my child cries more than she doesnt..The only time she's not crying is when she's alsleep.. but she only sleeps 30 minutes each time. she won't sit in her carseat, her crib, pack n play , her swing, bouncer nothing!!! I have to hold ger 24/7 even when she's sleeping or else she will wake up. I'm tired I don't get any sleep nothing soothes her I don't even remember the last time I had enough time to bathe :'( I love her so much but this is so challenging
When did you...
let your lo sleep with a pillow? My dd is 13 months old and my SO has been putting her down for naps with a pillow. He's off on Tuesdays and Fridays so while I work he's been doing this (I was unaware). Well today we were both home and she was getting tired so he took her to her room for a nap. When I went to check on her I saw she was sleeping on a pillow he gave her. She does fine with it obviously but it just seems so early. Anyone else start using a pillow this early?
Theo point blank refused to do tummy time. Id put him on his tummy and he'd just scream until I picked him up no matter how much I tried to distract him and play with him. As soon as he started rolling both ways he was fine, he used to roll around the living room constantly. He started crawling at 7 months and was walking by 9.5 months. She'll be OK, she will do it in her own time x
