My 6.5 month old suddenly wakes up so easily when I place him in the crib and starts to cry until I pick him up. He’s been doing this for both naps and bedtime. Before, I could put him in his crib and he’d just sleep but lately he’s been waking up so easily and wanting to sleep in my arms or in my bed - and when he does, he falls asleep so easily. He’s not necessarily a horrible sleeper. Does anyone know why he would start being like this all of a sudden ? It started a few days ago. I’ve tried just leaving him, but he’s so loud I think the neighbors can hear him (apartment building). Any suggestions ?
@natacha.christina, I’ve tried rocking him when he starts to shuffle but I’ve noticed when I put him bAck down, he wakes again. So whenever I feed him, he then goes back to sleep. So I actually think he’s hungry ?? He eats well during the day though. I’m hoping to stop the feeds soon
@carusod91, she doesn't feed any more at night. I think around 4 months our doctor said she didn't need to feed during the night anymore. As long as she ate well during the day, she was fine at night. Is your doc recommending feeds at night still? Just because baby wants to eat at night doesn't mean they need to. He may be eating out of habit 😊
@natacha.christina, I’m contemplating sleep training as well. He definitely knows who Mom and Dad is now and loves being rocked /
Cuddled to sleep. He’s quite a social baby and doesn’t have separation anxiety or anything m but when it comes to naps/bedtime, he needs to be held to sleep. I don’t mind that part but when he wakes and needs help going back to sleep it’s frustrating.
Does your baby still get up for feeds ?? Mine still feeds 1-2 times - he doesn’t fully wake and sleeps about 12 hrs but I can hear him shuffling around in the crib which means he’s looking for food hahaha
This is what happened to DD at 6 months and what eventually made us sleep train. I don't know if they become more aware but it was brutal. I know sleep training isn't for everyone, but I suggest looking into it. We are now at 3.5 months straight of 12 hours nights!
@queenkass, I don’t think so! He’s not showing any signs of a cold
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.

@carusod91, hmmmm it sounds like feeding is a sleep association maybe. Basically he needs that to happen to fall asleep. I read about those when we were researching sleep training. But you will figure it out 😊
