I had it before and after. It just made me extremely tired and loopy I don't remember anything while they had me on it. I had it 2 days after they finally took it out but I had seizures from eclampsia so it may be different for some people.

@angelfoodcake how many days were you on it? I'll probably never have another baby bc the experience was that bad.

@daniellebreakfieldd We're you full term? How long were you on it? Do you feel like it had any affect of your baby?

It was a nightmare experience for me! I was 34 weeks, 48+ hours before & 30 after, then atleast another 24 hours before I could function. They would have kept me on it longer but I threw a fit, literally screaming & crying until they finally agreed to take me off. When they finally did, it felt like I was detoxing off of a major drug- freezing, sweating, puking & I kept feeling like I was going to go into a seizure. For something that was suppose to be "helping" me so much, I'm curious if I was just having a bad reaction. I had such a bad experience with this, I almost felt robbed of the joy of having my first baby. Everything was such a blur! I never got to go visit my son in the NICU until they took me off of it. It would have been a full 54 hours before I got to see him, but a NICU nurse "snuck" him out to visit me! (with her managers permission of course!) They promised it wouldn't do anything to him, but he shook uncontrollably for atleast a week. It looked like I'd done drugs or something while I was pregnant, only to find out he was coming off the drip too. It was heartbreaking!

Yes I did
