@crazylifex2, yup, my coworker who was stationed at Germany just told me the original has the toy in the actual candy but that American kids were too stupid to not swallow the toy (his words not mine) so they banned it and now they brought it back with the egg split in two, the candy side and the toy side.
So the way they have them in Canada is that there is a small plastic ‘container’ inside the hallow egg that contains the toy. So it isn’t really messy or anything. We got my son a big one for Easter this year. It was just a chocolate shell egg though. Still pretty good!
We have both these and the original kinder surprise with the toy in a plastic container in the middle of the chocolate. I find it hilarious that kinder surprise is contraband in the USA, there was a story in the news a few years ago of someone being find like $2500 for having one in their car while crossing the USA border lol.
Yeah we can only have kinder joy not kinder eggs 😂 they have knock off types that just separate a empty egg of chocolate from a toy basically the same ordeal
