@_mommyoftres, it’s where the frenulum is connected to the button of the gums. You can compare it to your own, yours should be above the teeth. His seems to be going between the teeth and connecting under. My daughter also has one. Does he have feed troubles? Or seems to be frustrated or fussy while feeding ?
@doctor.p, oh wow i didn’t know about this . No he has no trouble feeding or frustration nothing what so ever . But will let my sons pediatrician know about this...
@_mommyoftres, my daughter also didn’t have feeding issues , but a lot of baby have feeding issues when they have them. The younger they are the better it is to fix it. I didn’t know about it till basically too late. Also pediatricians don’t deal with a lot of lip ties so they might not know what to do. Going to a dentist is the best option. And if your gonna get it fixed do it with a laser not scissors.
@doctor.p, yessss i took him to the dentist. But his teeth were bearly coming out I don’t know if it’s more noticeable when they have teeth? But do have his next appointment in a couple of months .
@spookylyn, ikr. Rare moments on Momlife lol. But I went through this with my daughter and the pedi didn’t even know what a lip tie was till I did my own research and found out on my own. So I got to share the info
I just found out my oldest has one too, he's 3. I was flossing his teeth & saw it. My 11month old has one too & I told the dentist & she said that they can snip it later on cause he's too little. But I just found out about my oldest one, like this week...Do you know like how old they should be to have this procedure done? He's 3 @doctor.p
