Anyone else go through public housing? 🤦🏻 Feels so embarrassing applying but damn i need help…

I applied and the problem was I was working and didn't get through good luck I wish you the best and your doing good you gotta start somewhere never give up find a way to keep the boat up floating with them kids in it never stop rolling that boat girl ! Even if you have to use one finger or your teeth or others help like public housing

You should never be embarrassed. It put there to help people who need assistance for the moment. When you just have yourself and kids you push harder. You show your kids how strong of a mother and women you are. There soon will be better days. Keep your head up high.

You're doing what you have to do to keep your kids and yourself safe with a roof over your heads. I think it's a great idea! I applied once but couldn't get in because I was a full time student in college.

Absolutely not I live in government housing apts

Lots of people whether they want to admit it or not start from having assistance. It's nothing to be ashamed about. This stuff is here to help those in need and to get a person on their feet. All you can do is call when they are accepting applications, go down to the place to fill them out and make sure you have all your files. Some housing units accept that you aren't working and require community service to live there. The list is usually long and there can be up to a year wait. A buddy of mine got into an apartment shortly after checking into a shelter ( not ideal, but sometimes get help faster )

You should never be embarrassed! The only people that should be are those that take advantage of the system- it sickens me how so many people cheat it and take benefits away from those who truly need it. You need it and are doing right by your children by applying- be proud that you are taking charge and getting this taken care of! I applaud you!!!!

If you want I just moved to North Carolina and would love a roommate and of course kids bc I’m pregnant also! I’m in the same situation as you I’m looking at public housing but it may be safer and easier to split rent with someone but Message me
