OPINIONS???: It has been a SUPER hard and challenging year for my marriage. We've been through every scenario you can imagine. We've been together 10 years and our 4th wedding anniversary is in 3 days. Today is my husbands birthday too. He has to work from today until Friday so we wont get to celebrate until Friday night. Since it's been such a hard year that has almost caused us to separate, i thought since it's not a good time for an actual vow renewal, I could maybe plan a night and write some new ones of my own just private ones between him and I. Couples truly don't know what they're getting themselves into (good and bad) when they first get married and are all still in that honeymoon phase. Things CHANGE, sometimes throughout the years and I believe sometimes that those vows you made then, well, they may need tweaking. Of course the same remains..in sickness and health, better or worse, till death. But what about other stuff your partner needs that you didn't realize or didn't show up until years later? Anyway, I was thinking of doing a romantic private vow renewal to him. Kind of in a proposal type way. Ive already got them wrote. I didn't want to just hand him yet another letter that I do every year, instead I'm going to read it to him. I know we're going to dinner should I do it there or do it at home snuggled in bed? Find some place else to go? There's not many places around here for that sort of thing though so that may be tough. Hmm... opinions on the whole thing?
Do you guys like to hike? Maybe a romantic picnic to read them at sunset or sunrise?
