Scheduled for induction next week 8/18. Still only 1-2cm dilated. My Dr thinks I’m going to make it…

That's when I was induced 7pm...I had him at 8:30 in the morning!

@itslinny, really ?? My dr said induction can take 2-3 days!!😳 how were you induced ? She mentioned foley balloon to me to stretch my cervix

@brianamestichelli, it can take that long for some women. I went in they gave me the pitocin and it was a waiting game from then on about an 2 hours in I started to get really uncomfortable from the contractions so they gave me medicine to make me fall asleep for a little...early at like 5:00 I was like 5cm already! Soon after that they broke my water and I dilated to a 7 and I got my epidural right away and then at 8:00 I was 10cm and pushed for a half hour and had him at 8:30. It just all went really fast for me I was lucky. I hope this one is the same way...I have a feeling he might come on his own but I wouldn't mind being induced again

@itslinny, this is so reassuring !!💛 do they let you walk around your room when your given pitocin?

@brianamestichelli, they put a catheter in so I didn't walk around they wanted me to try and sleep, it was hard to sleep with contractions that's why they gave me medicine to ease the pain a little so I could sleep.

@itslinny, is there anything you suggest to bring to inductions?? Extra pillows, yoga ball, etc

@brianamestichelli, definitely extra pillows! Something to entertain yourself that night if you can't sleep..and If I remember correctly you can't eat past a certain time that day/night so pig out beforehand cause you can't eat anything there..they give you ice
