So my daughter bumped her head earlier on in the day , she seemed fine . We iced it . She went to gmas for a little bit. When I picked her up it was still a small green dot , we came home went about our routine . And right before bed it looks like this . Emergency 🚨 or non emergency?

- Did you guys know that in recent studies they’ve learned that going to sleep after a concussion versus staying awake doesn’t change anything .. 🤷🏻♀️ Thought that was interesting..
Ouch. At the least, I'd call her pediatrician and see what they say. (Our pediatricians office has an on call nurse and doctor at all times, does yours?) I don't know, that looks weird. My son fell and hit his head once, had a nice sized goose egg and bruise, but nothing else. He was fine but boy did I watch him. I was ready to go to the ER at a moments notice should something change.
I've taken him to the ER just to ease my mind for a different issue. It's always better to be safe, even if you feel like it's a waste of time. But usually we call the hotline and get reassurance from the nurse/doctor.
@beccaaalynnn11, not worried about paying for it . I just think that it’s probably like any other goose egg she has had , and she hasn’t had any symptoms of serious injury .

- @phoebesmommy has a point.. If she behaved normally, then she’s probably fine. But it doesn’t hurt to make sure. Unless you count the wallet hurt 😅 Let us know what they say if you go. 💪🏻💕
- If she behaved normal the rest of the day, then I’d say you have nothing to worry about. But also, the fact that it went from a bruise to a blood blister would bother me personally. I’d take her in, for ease of mind and go make sure she’s okay .. But I’m scared to death anytime anything is different for my baby 😅🙈

@awesome1377 my daughter fell off her bed and hit her head on her frame.(she was jumping) but clear stuff was running out of her nose I freaked out I took her to the er and she had xrays and an MRI done I felt bad bit I just wanted to make sure my baby was okay. She had a concussion. @camillezeober20 keep an eye on her for 48 hours. Make sure shes doing everything she would normally do. No vomiting. No blood or clear liquid coming from her ears or nose. Make sure she can move her arms and legs. They recommended me to have her sleep in our room for the next 48 hours because you will be more aware. If shes not walking or talking or moving her arms as she would normally take her to the er immediately. And persist vomiting is a sign if it's more than twice then take her in.

- The injury itself. Is the area harder or softer than the rest of the head ?
@awesome1377, well papas saying she wasn’t unresponsive, or sleepy . And she didn’t go down for nap until hours later . So every seeeeeems fine but any owie on my daughter scares the shit out of me , she is my first .
If you feel like you should then take her to the ER. Better to be safe than sorry. I refused the scan because it's radiation concerns for such a little child. I was so scared I had to. Alot of ppl prob think I overreacted but my daughter was acting very sleepy and not responding.

@camillezeober20 everything I saw when I Googled it said you need to watch for vomiting and excessive sleepiness. That's hard to do when its bedtime tho.

I don't know. I had a scare with my daughter a few weeks ago. She fell of the couch and hit her head on our hardwood floor. I took her to ER. She had a slight concussion but she was fine. This is your call. Go with your gut Mama
I wasn’t around right when it happened but she came to me right after , and she was upset . But seemed fine.

What did she bump her head on and did she seem tired? Yawning and such? Was she ever non responsive?
