Congratulations on the new house!!!!!

@caffeine.fiend yeah this is my first but still have a busy 2 months. We just bought a place moving in on Sunday so thats stressing me out Yeah I'm so ready to have this baby.

The end of pregnancy with GD can be very unpredictable, and I understand the frustration of working around kids in school and having at least one at home. My oldest 4 start school next week, then the following Monday, my youngest starts 1/2 day PreK. My dr and hospital are 45 min away, oldest is in football, and my husband had to use all of his vacation for the year due to personal illness as his company does not qualify for FMLA. I’m beyond ready for this pregnancy to be over, and really wish I didn’t have to deal with GD, Group B strep, anemia, and an irritable uterus. It’s never fun to question what’s a genuine contraction or my irritable uterus.

@caffeine.fiend yeah my grandpa was diabetic on my moms side so I know how serious it is. And my boyfriends mom has it.

I’ve tried to be really careful because diabetes runs on both sides of my husbands family and on my dads side of the family. I have a hard time hearing moms say they hate the inconvenience of testing four times a day when not taking care of it could mean a lifetime of testing and complications for their children.

I applaud the moms that address and properly deal with any complications they encounter during pregnancy.

First GD baby was 7lb 3 oz, second was 6lb 10oz, and waiting to meet our third GD baby

@caffeine.fiend no its fine. And of course I'm gunna follow threw with all this all the way up in till he's born I'm doing it because I care about his health and they mentioned all the risks and I'm taking them seriosuky its just hard to keep up on but its gotta be done.

I’m sorry. I’m on my third round of GD and would love to stop checking numbers. I’ve also had friends tell me they weren’t going to worry about their GD diagnosis because they weren’t concerned about having a big baby; without realizing the risks to the baby. GD can be very overwhelming, especially when specialists are involved. I never meant to imply that the baby was not the top concern. I apologize for making it sound that way

I’ve been checking mine an hour after every meal. The closer I get to baby’s arrival, the more difficult it is to maintain normal levels. As normal as the numbers may be, please remember that the health of your baby depends on how you treat your diabetes during pregnancy.

@girlmomx5 their not concerned about my weight gain and they said he's growing right on target I just don't understand

@girlmomx5 yeah same here I still have to go to a specialist then meet with a nurse. I found out a week ago that I have it well kinda late into the pregnancy you think lol but whatever is safe for the baby

@girlmomx5 maybe they are low because were on a diet now, but mine was still in the 80s after haveing coffee 3 cream and 3 sugar so I'm so confused Idk how it was 200 after drinking a little sugar drink

@girlmomx5 mine can't be over 140. Its been in the 80s every time My levels came back 200 when I did the 3 hour.

@girlmomx5 I do mine before breakfast and an hour after breakfast lunch and dinner. It sucks but they will see that its normal they might not have me do it anymore
