😩 think the young man might have pink eye. 😩 think he got it from rubbing food in his eyes.

I believe they say treat for 48 hours after symptoms gone to prevent recurrence and yes warm cloth wipes are good to use as well

@laura.lorentsen33, yeah I read up on it. My midwife said lots of warm water wipes and breast milk should do it. On the plus side it’s no longer pink. It’s just a little puffy.. maybe it isn’t pink eye. Because I stopped feeding I think what’s coming out now is colostrum. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Pink eye can be viral or bacterial or even just from allergens. The first two are highly contagious. A viral infection has to runs its course, a bacterial one is also known as conjunctivitis and needs proper treatment, as I am currently experiencing it myself. Any forgein matter could be carrying bacteria food included to develop bacterial pink eye

@glencoco, yeah that’s kinda what I’m going to be doing but just about two times a day as he’s older now and I stopped breast feeding him about 7 months ago. But the milk now looks like colostrum

@__m, sorry to hear that. When my son was younger, he had a blocked tear duct. I used breast milk for about a week was about the only thing that fixed it up.

@delamorena2121, my daughter had it before. I just squirted bm in her eye when she would nurse, every 3-4 hours. Only took a day to clear up but I did it a second day just to be safe.
