Does anyone know how child support work? If my baby doesn't have his last name does that mesn i can't file child support??
If the dad fights it all you need is the dna test.
Both my kids have my last name and father is not on birth certificate and I was able to still file but either he agrees they're his kids or a DNA test...but it's been over a year and they still haven't got back to me and keep asking for more info even if I gave them the important peices...shit, hold on ladies does child support usually take this long inbox me now I'm curious a.f.
I had her on state insurance so that’s why they took hers most of the time if he was working. But he also quit his job every time they caught him.
It also depends on what state you are in and if you get any state assistance. If you don’t, the DA can get you more and you will see it.
I was only getting $140 but the state took it until she was almost 18 then now with all the back child support, she gets $48 a month
@mommie2be26th yup only 30 because he has no job
@mommie2be26th, I had paternity already established cause I got full custody of my daughter. But they will need a DNA test to prove the relationship. Then from there the other parent will get served.
@natcasey9 that's a little that they give you only 30 others get more
I filed for child support and then had to take my son for a DNA test to be done and then once he was proven to be his he was ordered to pay $30 a month
@ambers14 does the dad need to sign anything or how does it work exactly
My son has my last name, and baby brother will have my last name too. I filed for child support in August though and have yet to hear ANYTHING back. Wow I just realized it has literally been an entire year.
You can still file. My oldest has my maiden name and still gets child support
"Child support is for absent parents NOT failed relationships"
how does one file for child support? and how does the process go?
Moms collecting support!!
If you get married, could this result in your baby's father paying less child support?
does anyone know the difference between child support & tanf?
Yup
