It’s just hardened oil from getting hot then cold. I usually just toss them usually.

Maybe they didn't get canned properly, or during transit they got too hot or too cold or something. I had that happen once and I just tossed them.

Lol yea i didnt think so. According to the date they aren't "expired". The only possible thing I could think of was maybe whatever they sit in was so salty it like left salt behind? Lol

No. They look old to me.
