Does the stretch mark cream from Itworks really work? Or just any of there products like there wraps
@its.a.bird, i definitely do! More than anything I want ladies to know that they are beautiful no matter what, and that there are other products that costs much less and don’t hurt you. 🙌🏼 I was shocked they didn’t offer to even refund me the $50.00 I spent on the wraps. Rudeeeeee.
@spookylyn, oh I definitely understand now! After this happened (in 2014) and they didnt help with my doctor bills, I was like, “I’m going to educate myself on this shitty practice and I’m going to tell everyone I know that ItWorks is shit!”.
It makes me so mad that new moms already feel so down about themselves, and would do anything to get their bodies back, or even just to loose an inch or two that these people prey on them.
Oh well. It is what it is. I’ll just always speak up when I see someone talking about ItWorks. If I can help someone not have a $500 allergic reaction then I did my job!
@spookylyn, exactly.! I approached the girl who sold the wraps to me, and said, “look, I followed the directions. I did the sample test. I have a huge doctor bill.” She then referred me to corporate.
The funny thing is, I took pictures of everything. The test strip, and then 20 mins later using the wrap, and then right after I took the wrap off, then about 4 hours later when it started to get red, and then in the morning when it was really bad. I took pictures at the dermatologist and everything. I had literal proof that I followed their directions.
“We can’t guarantee results. It states clearly on the packaging that results my very.”
I was like, “I thought that meant, ‘you may not see any fat loss.’.”
Nope! That’s their way of wording it so if someone has an allergic reaction it’s not their fault.
The worst part of it all, was this happened 3 days before my bachelorette party in Vegas. I couldn’t swim, I had to be careful drinking because of he prescriptions I was on. It was literally one of the worst choices I’ve ever made.
I just wanted my doctor bills covered!
@its.a.bird, they didn’t even offer me a refund!
And I just use Bath and Body Works stuff. I stocked up when they had their Semi-Annual sale. Really any shea oil and body cream will work. There’s no need to spend a ton of money.
Stay moisturized & hydrated! It helps! I went my whole pregnancy with zero stretch marks! I don’t think they’re genetic otherwise I would’ve had a lot my mom is full of them!
Just make sure you stay moisturized. When I get out of the shower I put on some shea oil and let that sink in, and I lotion up with some body cream. Then after my body is done, I then add some body cream to my belly. You can’t prevent them, but I think just staying moisturized helps from adding more.
That whole co is 🐴💩 IMO. And just FYI, stretch marks are genetic. So no amount of lotion or expensive cream promising results is going to help.
@its.a.bird, it was recorded at my Derm as a “chemical burn”
