My doctor guessed my baby weighed 8 Ibs without an ultrasound and he was born 8 Ibs 3 oz. I didn’t even know until I was in labor and the nurse asked if the doctor told me if she had a weight for baby and I said no then the nurse told me

@soon-2b-mother-of-3 no its fine if the doctors are concerned they will deff let you know and monitor little one they wouldn't hide it. And thank you

@soon-2b-mother-of-3, they will only check the babies weight if your belly is measuring too big or too small otherwise there is no need.

@soon-2b-mother-of-3 the weight isn't gunna be right tho you don't know the exact weight till their born. As long as their not concerned then you should be fine

@jenny955 my doctor is an a******so if he doesn't do it then maybe I can find someone else that will check it for me cuz he doesn't do the ultrasounds anyways he just has to order the ultrasound to be done.And thank you

They’re highly inaccurate and can be off by up to 2 pounds! My doctor never did one.

Sounds like your in good hands so refreshing to hear a dr admitting and realizing that ultrasounds are not accurate. With my son they told me he was going to be small 5-6lbs max, I had him couple days later and he was almost 9lbs.

I just had my 36 week growth scan, but honestly most don't get them, even if they are high risk. My best friend just had her little girl and the doc was off by nearly 3 lbs. It didn't matter though.

My doctor said that he doesn't do ultrasounds anymore because it said the baby was to big they sheduled a c section for some lady and the baby wasnt even big at all she could have done natural birth
