Breastfeeding mommies, if your out and about LO gets hungry what setting do you choose to…

If I was at home and had company I would breastfeed with a blanket over me, or I would just go to the room, if I’m out in public I would not go to the restroom but put something over me , and nope never ashamed , ashamed about what it’s normal and should not be criticized by anyone ..

At home I would do wherever. If company was over I would go to my room just so I could have peace. Out in public I chose to nurse in my car. I just prefer a quite area. Granted my kids aren’t quite but if I have the chance, I will go where I can just relax and not have distractions.

I did babywearing and just fed where ever I was whatever I was doing. I used a boba wrap and plan on that again for this baby. I've never been shamed but I had a store employee once ask me to use the changing room and my husband got really mad and said "No she's fine!" Lol

I just nurse. never put a lot of thought behind it. My breast is never fully exposed. I didn’t see the big deal. In my own home, I’m feel like every one that chooses to walk thru my door knows they may see a boob. In public I’m just careful about moving my bras and shirt over to stay tastefully covered.

@pettybetty Exactly! When I'm not babywearing and I breastfeed I only cover while getting the baby to latch once they're latched you can't see anything. There's shirts that expose more than what you can see while a baby is breastfeeding!

I have a nursing cover that I use when I’m out and about. I’ll nurse with the cover wherever we are, restaurant, mall, park, etc... If we are at someone else’s house I will ask if they’re ok with me nursing there in the room with my cover or if they have another room I can use if they’d prefer. It’s their home so, I want to be respectful of their wishes.

@tattooedmommyof4 ive never seen that before, i breastfed my son til he was 2. I'm about to order one though for this baby lol

@queen_mommy97 it's amazing I use it at home too so I can sweep, pick up toys or fold laundry while feeding.

Depending on who I’m around but recently I’ve just been feeding her openly. It’s been too hot to cover her while feeding. People give me a look but I don’t care anymore my baby is hungry and if that makes people uncomfortable then sounds like a personal problem. But that’s my perspective.

I usually cover up for my own comfort, no matter where i am, except at home. I nurse infront of anyone when lo is hungry. i totally support moms who choose to not cover up, i was in a wetseal one time nursing with a cover and a mom with her teenage daughter both looked at me with such a disgusted look on their faces, i simply smiled at them.
