@brooklyn_corey, that’s awesome! Yes. Sometimes you just have to go back and forth :). Don’t worry, your supply will even out soon!

@phoebesmommy, does that happen if you pump too much?

@amysbabies, baby is born lol and switching breasts during feeding helped a lot. Thank you!

Expressing milk on my nipples and air drying helped me the most the heal them up. You’re doing a great job!

Hot rag and rub it out. You could also use a pump. Like @amysbabies mentioned, manual pump (in my opinion) is best for this situation.

If you have a manual pump, pump it a few times and then put baby to THAT breast. You might want to try switching baby between breasts during nursing sessions or make sure to alternate each feeding. Wait. I realize your profile says you are still pregnant, but your post sounds like baby is born. I’m confused :). If baby is not born, take warm bath, lay back and but a warm wet washcloth over your breast and try to relax- baby will be here anytime!

@brooklyn_corey, I would just be careful w pumping bc you don’t want to encourage more milk production

Oh my gosh, yes definitely take a warm shower! I noticed that mine didn’t go away right away, it usually took about a whole day to go back to normal.. no matter what I did. Baby feeding was the only thing that cleared it up! What the lactation consultant told me was to aim and position baby’s chin touching the area that feels blocked when feeding and that will help.

Yeah I can imagine. You can pump a little if you have one. Massage and pump, wouldn't do it for long tho. Just to break the initial engorgement so you can get baby latching well and nursing

@kambam, thank you! It’s been so hard because he couldn’t get a good latch at all

Sounds like your milk is in. Apply moderate pressure with your hand down towards the nipple and you can try to get some out. Massage breasts towards nipple in warm shower. Once you've gotten them softer it will be easier to latch baby

You can get in the shower and get it warm or just put a hot wet wash cloth over it and express some out. You’re engorged and doing awesome! It’ll regulate soon 💗
