I know that feeling. I kept moving away then moving back because I missed something familiar. Buuuut 🙄 now that I have a child it's different. I'm trying to get away again lol

@kambam, I hear ya. That’s how I feel about Illinois. My hometown is garbage. But, I had my daughter in Roseville & genuinely loved it there.

I worked in Sac though, so ghetto/trashy. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I know! The city you have your child in can be comforting/nostalgic. My son was born in santa rosa. Well, it's still the same here whatcha waiting for 🙋

@kambam, it’s so annoying...my husband is a GM for The Cheesecake Factory. So, his store is the one here in Reno. We are just waiting for the GM of Sacramento to retire (in 3 freaking years), or even better the GM of the Roseville store to move back to Arizona to be near her family. She’s expecting her 3rd baby any day now, so we are crossing our fingers and toes that she really wants to move home now. 🤞🏼

He took a promotion and ended up there yeah? So annoying. I hope you can come back if that's what you truly want 🙁🙁 maybe even visiting could make you feel a little better in the meantime

@kambam, you’re so right! I think I’m going to come back this Thursday for a little visit. And yeah, it was like of like “hey, you get the promotion, we’ll give you a BMW, but Reno is the location.”. 🤦🏼‍♀️. We agreed under the condition that if either Roseville or Sac open up, it’s his. Or, if they build a new one (there’s talk about El Dorado Hills) then he gets that new store. They know we want to come back, and they’ll make that happen..the company is super accommodating.. it’s just a matter of waiting! 😅

Oooh edh would be nice! They should def let him test his managerial skills at a new store 😊 or just rock his home store haha. I have a friend who works for CF in the bay and they have been super accommodating for her as well. Thru surgeries, sickness etc. Good to hear a big company cares for their employees. I worked at nugget, AWFUL company.

@jennatess i wanna work at a restraunt so bad lol I wanna be a server but I have no experience so have to start as a host but I applied at the cheese cake factory on arden a month n a half ago but nothing yet if heard there such a good company hopefully one day I'll get on.

@jennatess u work as a server right?did u start as a host and was it easy to catch on and learn to become a server? Or do you have to be a host for a while first most serving jobs iv seen u have to have 1 year experience

@2014mama1993, you’re okay with hosting ? If so, I can get you hired. As long as you promise you’re a solid worker! Haha! If you are okay with hosting, then you’ll move up to bakery, and then food runner, and then server. Honestly, I’d apply for bakery instead!

Yeah, Cheesecake is on the Fortune 500 Best companies to work for, and it’s so true. I love the company. I had to quit when we moved to Reno since there is only one location here and I cannot work with my husband. It’s such a good company. The second I can go back, I will.

@jennatess would you be able to get me on at one near me since reno is so far lol I'm off Madisan ave by the free way so arden or Roseville i think are closest only thing is I just got hired at Ross and start on Monday but if cheese cake factory can get me on I'd rather do that I do have 7 hospitality management units but no actual restraunt experience and I have good references 1 is my professor I had and the other is a chef on food network and owns a food truck he's a good friend of mine :)

Also what is bakery is that somthing u need experience? I'm really into baking and all that too I'm not great at it yet but Id love to learn

@2014mama1993, oh that’s what I meant! Arden or Roseville..whichever you want. I’ve worked at both and am good friends with both hiring managers.

No experience necessary! The cakes come in already made from our bakery in calabassas ca. So, you’re job duty’s as a baker would just be plating cakes, making ice cream desserts, taking to-go and packing up to-go orders and keeping the bakery stocked and cleaned.
