Make a paste out of baking soda and water, put a bunch on it, cover it with gauze and tape over night. Or several hours. Do it a couple times. It will draw the infection out. I had something similar and had to do it. It worked perfectly.

You can go to an urgent care, much more appropriate than the ER for that. And it could probably wait until tomorrow if you can’t get a ride.
