So my free pump I’ve gotten by my insurance took a crap on me and was a horrible pump in general I’m assuming that’s why it’s “free” ! Can anyone recommend a good pump ?

I was told SpectraS2 that's what I ordered..if your insurance covered it I'd call them back and let them know maybe they can resend a new one?

I thought about it but this is my 2nd pump in 2 weeks total and both broke, I am so frustrated I’m just going to go buy one on my own... I think I heard someone talk about the spectra also.

Which pump were you using and were you using it exclusively? Those ones are only meant for occasional use, they can't take several times daily use. You can rent hospital grade pumps if you use them exclusively. I did. I also ended up buying one when my rental company decided to take it out from underneath me because they were moving the company out of state. I found one used as a demo on ebay.

@mommytojames, I second Medela! I used the Pump In Style backpack, and I pumped from the beginning, almost 2 years, and that thing kept going!

@mommytojames, I had my son before breast pumps were free through insurance, but we had latching issues from the beginning, so my doctor wrote a prescription for it and my insurance covered about 2/3 of the cost. That was the pump my insurance covered, and I couldn’t have been happier with it. That pump came with me to work each day, and I used the heck out of it! I also kept the battery pack full in case I was on the road and needed to pump.
