Most places offer a guarantee after so many weeks. If baby doesn’t participate your usually scheduled for another appt.

Edited to add, I found out at 12 weeks.

I personally did a gender reveal ultrasound around 14 weeks with my youngest. Found out he was a boy and it was confirmed at 20 weeks.

But I didn't do my 3d/4d/HD Live ultrasound until after 25 weeks with my youngest and this pregnancy because they said they are better when you're further and baby is cuter cause they've began putting fat on. lol

If they can't that day (which they should) they normally let you go back-free of charge- to try again

Not saying don't do an ultrasound before 30 but if your trying to get those really good pics def more closer to 30

They may if he/she cooperates - I hear as early as 13, but better at 20 - personally would wait until closer to 30 weeks to do 3D/4D much more development and fatty tissue to observe.
