I’m in the hospital for 21 days waiting on csection and being monitored. Question is how many meals does insurance pay for or food a day? I’m so hungry a lot. Nurse didn’t know but thought I could order more food and though I’ve had all meals for today. I just don’t want to order more food and get bill for food insurance didn’t cover. Baby just so hungry.

Can you try to order extra during each meal so your able to have a snack in between meals?
I would find another nurse to ask she should definitely know that or know who to ask to answer you. When my daughter was in the hospital with rsv for 4 days she was only 6 months but I got 3 meals/ day and they had snacks on the floor

3/day, as far as I know. But, they don't worry about what you order. I definitely ordered a TON of stuff every time I ordered.
3 meals a day should be covered. If you want more than that you will need someone to bring stuff in for you.
Trying not to spend more money but hospital I’m at has food delivered to your room and you can order up what you like but not sure if there are restrictions on amount, was wondering people experiences
Doctor put three meals and three snacks on my chart which is good because many of the meals r gross and can only eat parts of it so snacks help
