So as you guys know, I'm working on becoming a Certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist and I just did my first one! Only 2 more until I get certified! 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

@its.a.bird it can be expensive, depending on who's doing it. On average its anywhere between 200-400 to encapsulate.

@its.a.bird Lol the moms have to sign a release form to allow the hospital to give the mom her placenta instead of sending it to the lab. There is definitely standards of sterility! I have to use eyewear, masks, gloves, biohazard bags, and protective clothing. I have to bleach my tools, take proper precautions when it comes to knowing the mother and baby's history so I know if its safe to encapsulate for them to take. Each situation is different.

@its.a.bird lol ask as many as you'd like! Pretty much after a mom gives birth, I go pick up the placenta from the hospital. I take it home and wash it, inspect it, and drain the blood from it (not all of it cause its impossible but enough so its not soaking wet. Then I detach the amniotic sac and umbilical cord, cut the placenta, dehydrate it, blend it up into a powder, then put it into capsules for the mother to take. I'm already solo without having practice and am starting my own business.
