Maybe you should tell them no more gifts all together then. You don’t get to pick what people give as gifts, it’s what they want to give.

Same here! I exchanged or returned almost everything I got that was Minnie Mouse themed because I hate it as well.

@scruffy.nerf.herder, we all have disliked with certain styles on clothes.. I just think it’s creepy and it’s not as cute as other clothes now a days. And I don’t ever throw stuff away.. NEVER! I give it to friends with kids or friends that our pregnant.

Why all the Mickey hate? And why in the world would you toss out clothes you don’t like? That’s incredibly wasteful! If you don’t like them, fine, donate them to charity, but for Pete’s sake, don’t throw them in the trash to sit in a landfill

I'm the complete opposite. I love Minnie stuff. My daughter's baby shower was Minnie themed. But I feel ya... I'm not a huge pink fan, so I was trying my hardest to hint that I rather have purple. But I also agree with the others when they say the leopard/zebra print. I'm not a fan of that either.

It's not being ungrateful.... people have different tastes and like the cliche things. Others don't.

My MIL buys stuff for my boys that I wouldn’t. They wear it to bed or to play in the dirt. Or if I really dislike a gift and can’t return it, I donate it to the needy. Not everyone can afford to be picky.

@meganeliza, I think of it as warning people a lot of times. If they don’t care that’s no my fault. I won’t get mad at anyone that doesn’t know about but if I’ve told you constantly then how stupid can they be ...

@modom16, I will let them know so they won’t waste they time or money !! I have had enough of them trying to push a style on my I don’t like for my daughter. If they get upset they should think about how I feel and about how many more times I tell them “no Minnie Mouse”

@aengs2, I love the family and friend and appreciate them when they give me gift for my daughter but when you constantly have to remind someone you don’t like something and they ignore you completely it’s annoying!!! I dress and care for my daughter.. not them.

My pet peeve (thankfully I am having a boy) is all the cheetah/zebra/animal print. I guess it partially reminds me of the preppy popular girl crowd. Idk but I have been so opposed and when people were talking about a girl as a possibility they would send me pics of the cheetah print clothes. I ended up telling all our family if we had a girl animal print was off limits. Lol

That would drive me nuts! I can't help but get annoyed when people buy stuff that's not on my registry. Especially if it's duplicate stuff I already have. Just buy me stuff that I need.

@nandf, it’s not about being ungrateful.. I think their voices are creepy and I’m not a fan. If someone gave you ugly shoes not your style would you wear them??? If someone gives you an ugly dress to wear would you wear it?? If you don’t feel comfortable with it why put it on your child after telling the same people you don’t like the style so do my favor to not buy the style and they do.. it gets me upset ass if my opinion for my daughters stuff doesn’t matter to them.

Girl I thought I was the only one . I don’t like them at all . Especially after seeing some of the stuff they hide in plan site on the show .

I hate Minnie Mouse theme too lol my baby has one Minnie outfit and a Minnie and Mickey shirt that looks vintage and I thought it was so cute I had to get it but that’s more than enough Mickey and Minnie for me 😂🤣

@meganeliza, I have so many bags of used clothes and so many are cute but everytime I see Minnie Mouse it makes me sick lol. Her grandma from her dad say was talking about how I feel to rich or something and I can’t take a gift without making a face... I have always told them NO MINNIE MOUSE! And they love Minnie Mouse and I won’t put it in my daughter 😂😂 I’m sorry but I tell them all the time!! They even want her first birthday to be of Minnie Mouse and I said no and they got mad talking about I always think my daughter is only mine... no I don’t just no Minnie Mouse 😐😐😐 can’t stress it enough!! Sorry for the vent 🙈
