Well I just had my final fluid check for my twins today (I'm 37 weeks exactly) and despite countless ultrasounds showing neither one being breach ever (my daughter was transverse for a while but never breach and my son has never ever been anything other than head down) have both flipped and are now both completely breach... 😭😭😭... I'm super happy they are healthy, but I really really really didn't want the c-section I'll now probably have to have (unless they miraculously flip again, which the tech made the mfm check cause they can't believe they found room to flip in the first place)... I'm bummed and disappointed cause I wanted a vaginal birth so bad... any tips to preparing for a c-section and getting over the knowledge the pain of recovery will be worse... ?
@jrhynard25 I'm a really really high hemorrhage risk due to their size for a c-section, and I have incredibly bad swelling on my stomach that makes me cringe at even the lightest and tender touches right where they are gonna have to cut for the c-section (2 of several other reasons I really really didn't want one) but it is what it is I suppose. Mfm says she recommends delivery at 38 weeks for twins with 2 placentas, so my doctor says I have a 90% chance we can schedule it for Friday which will be 38 weeks exactly, provided he can get the lady already scheduled that day who is already 39 weeks, to move up voluntarily a few days... if not he says he will get me in within that week before I hit 39 weeks (starting after the 38 week mark).... fingers crossed super tight that they turn again. Both the tech and the mfm kept checking cause they can't quite believe they found the space to turn, not to mention both managing the feet with how big they are.
How about you? How are the girls and you?
Sorry they turned! Two friends of mine had their twins with a scheduled csections and they both said it wasn’t that bad. I could imagine if you labored for 40 hours or something and then ended up needing one that situation would be really brutal. When are they scheduling you?
If you do have to have a csection it will go alot smoother than an emergency. My scheduled csection with my son was such a breeze! You will be sore because it is a major surgery but my healing process was amazing i was back to my normal self by 2 weeks pp
I had to have an emergency c-section, but my recovery hasn’t been that bad at all. My advice about recovery is keep up with your pain meds (don’t be a hero), ask for help when you need it, get a good c-section panty to help with swelling and scar healing , and REST, REST. I’ll be praying for you and your babies!
Trigger. Lost baby
Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
IUI Monday!!
So today I went in for my routine bloodwork and ultrasound, and found out that I have three follicles at 17mm! Plus another two at 15mm. When leaving the clinic my FS said to take another dose of gonal-f and come back tomorrow to check to see how big they got and that we would do the iui on Wednesday. Well, after getting home, taking my gonal-f and going out to shovel snow (lol) I get a call saying that I am SURGING!!! I haven't ovulated on my own, or even come close to it in years...
Terrible 2's and 3's!
My services have been requested. This is for the moms of toddlers. You are not alone! If you are struggling with tantrums and acting out then chances are your child is needing attention, not punishment. There are lots of different things that can trigger a meltdown, but the root cause is typically the same.
Having some pretty intense constant lower back pain and maybe super light contractions. But can't tell because the back pain is way over powering contractions so I'm walking around my room to see if they get worse.

Please ...
I’m sorry! That’s really tough and sounds painful 😕 hopefully they won’t make you wait too long. I’m surprised they were able to turn this far along and being so big but maybe that means they will be able to turn back 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
I go to the doctor on Tuesday. Last Tuesday I was 3 cm dilated and 80% effaced. He didn’t seem to think I’d make it to my next appointment but so far nothing is happening. He said if I don’t have them by my appointment on Tuesday they will schedule me for an induction on Thursday. I’ve been told a lot of different time frames though so I’m just trying to go with the flow and see what happens 🤷🏼♀️ hoping they will come on their own but I guess we will see. I’m doing good though. I’ve felt much better the last month or so, so that’s been a relief. Maybe I’ve just gotten used to all the pregnancy symptoms 😋
