My oldest sister was born 3months early she was born at 1 pound &half and did well and that was in the 70's..babies are miracle's & with technology today should be higher rate of survival
The important thing about viability is that, at that point, the doctors will try to save the baby(ies). Before then, most doctors will not do anything to help save them. Congratulations!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I guess this could give me some slight comfort with my current situation I suppose.
@stacy7, just to offer some hope- after we were cleared for another pregnancy, we stopped just in case preventing and got ready to gear up for a FET... and I swear I got pregnant the first time 😳 quite the shock and apparently not uncommon.
@jack.ass, exactly! Especially that I’m having twins now I am higher risk along with ivf risk and previous miscarriage risk and prior preeclampsia I celebrate every small milestone with this pregnancy if took us 7 years and all our savings to get here. So thank u I truly appreciate your understanding.
@blessed2018w9, there’s been huge medical advances since 2005. That info is no longer accurate. Like I said it depends on the area you are in and their capabilities. I’m sorry for your loss.
@stacy7, absolutely terrifying. He’s doing amazingly well now, our little miracle. When I was pregnant with my youngest I counted the minutes until viability. For those who haven’t struggled with pregnancies, they don’t understand quite what those milestones mean for others. And for those who have been through rough seas, I don’t understand why they’d be argumentative.
Happy viability day! Positive thoughts for a continued happy and healthy pregnancy.
So yesterday I went to the dr and he checked the girls and told me I reached officially viability week. So yeah 23 weeks is considered viability week over here in Miami. Today I am 23 weeks. Which gives me small amount of peace of mind as I also lost a daughter last year so I will celebrate my little goal over here as I have lived this pregnancy paranoid. Sorry about ur daughter @blessed I know how difficult it is
@jack.ass I've never heard of viability under wk24 any were..I lost my daughter July 2017 at wk24 because she wasn't viable...technically there isn't no such thing as a safe zone until baby is born crying in your arms..each to there own though 🤷♀️🙂
@stacy7 won't know till Monday
