When did you mamas start potting training your Little ones & any tips that worked for a successful…

2yrs you know it’s time when they start telling you “mom I peed” or taking the pamper off freely 😂. My daughter was easy to potty train I just made sure every time I went to the bathroom, she had to sit on the potty

@kpcharlie94, she lets me know that she has pee so she’s aware what “pee” is so hopefully this means she will be easy to potty train I do want to start showing her to sit on a small potty just to get her familiar & comfortable..& once she starts understanding a little more she’ll successfully learn!

Following! My son is nearly 19 months and I've been wondering this as well.

I started at 2 with my son and by 2.5 he was fully potty trained! What helped me was making sure the potty was wherever we were mostly...which was the living room for us...he felt more comfortable using the potty where we were at and his cartoons were on etc....when I started with him I started leaving his diaper off so he would run around naked lol , but that was the only way he learned ... because with no diaper on he knew he needed too pee but no where too do it so once he learned what his potty was for he would go sit on the potty himself and pee ... in the beginning I would give him a candy everytime he went potty but once that bag was gone I never gave him candy again for using the potty and he didn’t expect it anymore either... once I saw he was getting use to going on his own I put the potty back in the bathroom and would leave the bathroom light on since he couldn’t reach and I would still leave him naked lol theeeen around 2.5 I noticed he would sleep through the night without peeing in his diaper that’s when I bought him boxers && pull ups just in case...but he would sleep through the night with boxers on and throughout the day tell me he has too pee...I honestly think What helped us was YouTube videos ... his favorite was the Elmo potty one... he watched it EVERYDAY and I would tell him he gotta be a big boy like Elmo and he loved that! An Elmo video on brushing teeth is how he started doing that as well! I hope this helped ❤️ && sorry for the long comment lol

Following! My daughter is around the same age as yours and I have been curious about this as well. The reason I’m contemplating it is because she is interested in the fact we use the toilet and also she likes to try to undo her diapers but won’t if she has pants on. She mainly does it as soon as I change her and am trying to get her pants. Im afraid it’s going to end up just taking it off completely.

@jerseymomx2, wow thank you i certainly did mind a long response it was really interesting to see how you got your little one to potty train! Those are some great tips & little tricks! I will definitely search up some YouTube videos & start her on some videos ☺️ she knows that she has pee in her diaper so she’s aware of what that is soo I’m starting to get motivated to start training her also my mom has been on me to get started! So I’ll slowly pick up on it! She also started taking off her diaper on her own as well so we’ll see how it goes from here on out! Thank you so much ☺️🤗

My mom has been on me to get her started on potty training but I just don’t know where and how to start so I thought I’d ask on here:) & my daughter has been the same she actually removes her diapers & knows when she has pee on them so I’m wondering if she’s ready to start learning but I’ll just start slowly on the potty training and hopefully we are successful:)

@nessaness, it’s worth a shot. I’m contemplating the same. I bought a kids toilet for her and she thought it was cool because it looks like ours and makes a flushing sound and so far I have only started by putting her on it after dinner and before her bath to get her used to it. In my opinion it’s better to try and see and if they aren’t ready Hey will let us know. I just haven’t pushed it since I can have this baby anytime now lol.

@nessaness, no problem ❤️ also when I started potty training him anytime he would eat/drink sometime I would put him on the toilet about 20mins after...I would constantly sit him on the potty for at least like 2mins and just sit and talk with him and play with his little toys to get him distracted of how long he been sitting there lol Doing is constantly is when he started doing it on his own, we had some accidents here and there TRUST ME it wasn’t always pee in the potty lol but it was a learning process for him so I couldn’t get mad. Ur daughter is still young ❤️ she has time too learn! I didn’t push it with my son if he didn’t wanna sit on the toilet I didn’t make him because forcing him too do it just made him annoyed && not wanna try at all! She will learn 😍❤️
