Well I called my doctor she said from what I'm describing it sounds like I'm in early labor and they want me to come in immediately. The only issue is my husband is the only onr who can take me and he is at work. We are already living paycheck to paycheck and cannot afford him to leave especially this early. I am wanting to wait until he gets off work at 5 and then go in especially if he leaves and there is nothing really wrong.
@momofboys3, that’s great news! Atleast you can put your mind at ease now.
@masseymomma16 @0814mja false alarm. They are checking my urine to see if I have a bladder infection thats causing the contractions but not dilated
And your husband knows this and hasn’t left work yet?? Mine wouldn’t give two shits about a few hours of work. He’d do anything to make sure our baby was okay. Money situation sucks but you can figure that out later. Shit happens.
Why can't he tell his boss he needs to leave but he can go back if it's nothing? I mean its literally your babies life at stake. I understand about the money situation but you could end up regretting this.
@mrschanandlerbong95 they dont have uber or lyft i live in the country my hospital is an hour away
@glencoco, and if they kept baby in the nicu this early it’s usually until your due date.
Can you try Uber or lyft? 28 weeks could very literally be life or death for baby
A couple hours off work is a lot cheaper than the thousands you’d rack up in the nicu.
Early labor can last for weeks I was in early labor but I wasn't dialating fast enough so I got sent home three times but my water broke after 3 days I understand her I made my husband go into work when I was in the hospital waiting to give birth ended up needing a c section called him told him he doesn't have to leave if he wanted to stay at work he did my mom was in the back with me he ended up leaving anyways changed his mind but his work covered him with pto thank god but I feel her in worse comes to worse she can call 911 if shes in real labor
@momofboys3, is missing a few hours of work worth the risk? Your child’s life could be at risk at the very moment.
That’s a rough decision. If you could get there and they stop the labor and everything’s good but if you put it off it might not be able to be stopped. I know the feeling of living check to check but maybe think very deeply on this decision. I’m not trying to be rude, just thinking of the whole picture here
@momofboys3, hopefully nothing is wrong then. 🤷🏼♀️ I wouldn’t chance it.
@penelope127 no we moved and its literally just me and him and our kids. Ive been to labor and deliver numerous times and just been sent home.
Oh good I glad!
