What nicknames are your children calling there grandmas? Nani? Nana? NiNi... ?!

@kerryy23, yeah. We haven’t figured out an adjective to describe them yet. She’s the first grandchild to have to distinguish. As of now we use Nana and Grumps or Nana and Papa. We need a better system.

@d-lane-knee11 it does get confusing doesn't it trying to differentiate between who's who.. That's why the Nana's all have silly nicknames.. My mums quite posh (or thinks she is!😂) hence Posh Nana.. OHs Mum is a bit crazy so she got Nutty Nana, and my Dads wife is Scottish so she gets Nana Porridge 😂😂.. It helps Kylan understand whos who when we say we're going to see '___ Nana' x

@kerryy23, same here. My nephew (now 10) was the first grandchild for my parents so he set their names.

Also the reason my mom and mil are both Nana. Mil was named by her first grandchild, my stepdaughter (now 13). I met my husband 8 years ago. They already had their names when we had our first.

My sisters boy is a year older than mine so it started with him and it just stuck with my little boy too 😂😂

My child is not the first grandkid on either side, so the first grandkids set the names. My mom is G-Ma or Grandma, and DH's mom is Grammy.

@d-lane-knee11, yeah once they start to get older they can pronounce things better and clearly, my mom is just wilding tryna be mama, like nooo i worked months for that and it beat dada lol

Never heard anyone else use that before. My mom and mil are both Nana. We haven’t come up with a way to distinguish between them yet...

My husband’s dad is granddaddy and husband’s step-dad is Papa.

My daughter calls her dad's mom gigi or gran-gran and she calls my mom Nanna

All 3 Females are Nana but they have different nicknames,

Posh Nana, Nutty Nana & Porridge Nana (don't ask😂)

Then we have Grandad - My Stepdad, Pops - OH dad, Grumps - My Dad

Maybe Mima like Grandma or Nana.

@lnkedupmommy, that’s why I don’t agree with my daughter saying Mama or Papi. There’s only 1 mom and 1 Dad. I know other people agree with it but I don’t.

@sarah.s, yess thats my goal, I told my mom either nani or nana because mama is me! First word he learned so she gotta pick something else lol

Gigi and papi for my grandparents

Memere and pepere for his parents.

@yestatipa, Really? Im bumping heads w my mom because ive always taught my son mama for me, so what does he call you? .. when my son gets mad he says it so many different ways like mama, maa, mum ! Lol mama is mom too me

We were just going to call my mom “grandma” but my daughter nicknamed her MaMaw.

And then my mother in law is Oma, but we are pretty German.

Mimi, Paw, Nana, Papa

Mimi for my mom.

And in my man’s side it’s custom for the grandma to be called Mama and the grandpa Papi.

I’m not a fan of the grandparents being called that so I don’t know what to do there. 😞
