I'm so paranoid to take my kids anywhere the attempted kidnapping and sex trafficking is so real in the area where I live the other day saw a lady posted she was followed by a man and woman at a grocery store that I ended up being at 2 hours after this lady was. That's why my mom gets mad but it's our weekend thing to go grocery shopping together and she'll take one kid in her cart and I'll take the other in my cart and I told her if she wants to keep doing it that way then she needs to take the cart with her right up to what she needs. She'll park the cart and walk down an isle a little ways or across the isle and I just won't I will wait for people to move so I can pull my cart up right in front of what I need so my child is not out of my site for one second. She pisses me off bcuz she just laughs like I'm some crazy paranoid nut. But it's a reality in the world we live in and it's my job to protect my babies.

@masseymomma16, yeah I'm going to or just keep both the kids in my cart when we go shopping bcuz I do enjoy our time shopping together. I love my mom but she's a major air head and kind of oblivious to things going on around her.

I am the same way! I’d have a talk with her. End the shopping if she won’t respect your wishes.

You’re absolutely right. She needs to make that a habit regardless. She should never walk away from your baby like that. I always keep a hand on my cart at all times. Stick to your guns, mama.

I hate my generation sometimes ? Today was my nieces baby shower, which went great. She got so much which amazing since she's been working 2 jobs trying to save up for the unpaid leave she'll have to take from work. Anyways I was talking to one of the ladies there since my son and her daughter were playing together. I asked her what her daughters name was, she said it was Layla. I told her that's a really pretty name and asked her if she was a Clapton fan and if she was named after the song. FTM problems... So I've made it pretty clear that I want to buy my daughter her fist Halloween costume. Her babysitter/nanny keeps saying she wanted to make her one. I told her yesterday that I wanted to find her something that my SO and I could dress up as a family. So I told her I am going to get it. She just text me and said 'not trying to step on your toes but I bought her two costumes'. She does this all the time. Anytime I want to do the "first" things with her she immediately does it. It's making me sad. Like I wish I could quit my job and be home with her.

is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page
