I have gone over every reason in my head to NOT get my tubes tied... and I always come back to it. My doctor asked me to really think about it, and I had really tried and thought of every which way, every scenario that could happen. I am still thinking of course, as that is a very serious decision and my doctor has made clear she will NOT reverse it and it is PERMANANT. But I do not want to birth any more children. I want to take a real step in my mental health and find a psychiatrist and possibly a medicine that works for my depression and anxiety. I also take a serious medication for my bowels that I can not take during pregnancy. The only really bad things I have read is people have really bad periods, and these were mainly women who were on hormonal birth control for years and still need those hormones to help with periods. My periods are okay and I haven't really used any hormonal birth control for longer than a few months. And then people regretting it, because they want more children... or still getting pregnant years later from doing it so early.
I have my mind prettttty made up, but feel free to throw any good or bad stories my way.
P.S. I have read tooooo many horror stories of IUD'S and I just can NOT bring myself to try ANY of them. Condoms are fine, and sure I could remember to take a pill... But I do not want any more children. I have tried the Nuva Ring and had SERIOUS pain in my lower right abdomen, and I don't want the shot or anything in my arm.

@arcsmomma Thank you!!! That is exactly my thought. I love children, and if ever financially able or God puts a child in need into my life, I would love to open my arms, heart, and home to another child. I just do NOT want to birth them, and I know that for sure.

@babymay2016 Well, you could look into freezing your eggs and then having a surrogate? Idk how all that works really, I know it gets expensive though. Just throwing it out there. Lol

I got mine done I'm good with two I'm ready to get myself and my health back together girl don't feel bad do what you feel in your heart

@gingiej1207 Thank you! That is what I plan on doing too. Have you had any problems with it? Did you get it done after c section or a seperate surgery?

Tubals are reversible. If you ever changed your mind, another doctor would do that for you. It is stupid expensive, but still, an option.
I was on hormonal birth control for a decade +, and got a tubal after my last c section. I've had no problems with it. Cycles are on time, normal amount of bleeding. I will say, I may get *slightly* more cramps, but it's not a horror story by any means.

It’s so much easier for the man to just get a vasectomy. I could only get my tubes tied if it was medically necessary- personally. No judgement on women who choose to though!

@gingiej1207, then it’s her choice! I was just throwing my two cents into the convo. There are so many scenarios that it’s hard to offer advice without truly knowing them in person.

@gingiej1207 @amysbabies Oh, well I wasn't offended or any thing but I am not in a relationship with my children's father. And he would never ever everrrr go for that anyways. I wish he would, God knows he doesn't need any more kids with me or anybody else, though he has only ever been with me.. I just know for sure I don't want to carry any more children .
