Many will disagree with me, but I think changing tables are absolutely pointless. I never once used one with either of my girls and didn't buy one for our baby on the way. I always changed my girls diapers wherever we are...couch, bed, etc. I always have a basket in the main living areas with the diapering essentials. Works great!!
@bigmama18md lol at first I won't lie I was skeptical but as soon as we started using it I swear it was great and we still have it and will use it once our second child is born in a few weeks if he doesn't show his appearance before then. You should send it back to the manufacturer and have them check it out I you still have it and the receipt
@thisisdwarren, mine must of been defective. The stupid thing would get stuck when I twisted it. Couldn’t open it half the time. I was so mad lol.
@knockout diaper genie was fine with us. I guess it's just the person's personal preference
@bigmama18md idk we used it for our first and worked like a charm even had it in the room and couldn't smell anything disgusting
Definitely a personal preference item!! My brother made us ours and we love it. So much easier than bending over and scrunching up on couch or wherever... we still take our son to it for potty accidents to clean him up and changed. Already has it’s spot in our girls room ready for her!
Honestly I didn't use mine much for diaper changes. i used it for extra storage for all the baby stuff lol
I use mine to change both my kids, but now more importantly my little one so my son doesn’t jump/fall/step on her accidentally!
I think they are to but the deluxe pack n play we have came with one and I'm not going to use it never have never will
Mine has gotten so much use. (It's just the pad on a dresser) It's so much easier for me than the floor or couch, and since all his clothes are in there anyway it's convenient.
I think it depends on the parents and the life style and stuff . I love my changing table ! Lol I rarely don’t use it . I has shelves and drawers . Mines attached to the crib , and then I have one that is attached to my pack n play downstairs ! Feel like it’s more convenient!
I got one as a gift and it was wonderful. First off, it also has shelves and a hamper for their clothes, so it is way more useful than a standard one.
Secondly, my first son loved it there. If he was crying, I would take him to the changing table and he would change his temperament immediately. He loved being on there. I never used it with my second, but it depends on the child definitely.
I changed my son wherever I can and with this baby too I am not thinking of having one .
@momof3qtpies, I got the pad this time around. Lol I never used a pail either
The tables are a waste. I do like the foam, curved pads however. You can put them anywhere. Another big waste is a pricey diaper pail.
I had one with my son and then used the same one for my daughter, but I won’t be buying one this time around. Don’t necessarily think it’s a waste of money but it’s just not needed. Kinda like a diaper genie
4kids never had one!! I change u when and where ever I need to at the time!!
I never used a changing table either. I just make sure there’s a waterproof pad under them cause my kids are messy lol
I agree with you I guess some people are comfortable having them. But I never have used one and I feel like its not necessary.
Omg I love mine my son will be three ,prob because my epidural leave me with some serious back pain
I felt like this too, but bending over awkwardly while changing my daughter on the couch or bed made my back hurt more than it usually does, so the changing table saves me from back pain. I didn’t buy it, so I’m good 🤷🏾♀️😂
Ours has a dresser under it and I got it on clearance so I couldn't pass it up but honestly we only change our little guy on the changing pad first change in the morning and last change before bed. Otherwise it's wherever we are!
I don’t have an actual changing table but I have a changing pad strapped to the top of my dresser. I love having everything all together in one spot.
I bought 1 for my 1st. Used it a handful of times. I never bought another one. I like the bed.
@ladyblauvelt_mommyof2 Exactly. I think they are a waste of money. Why not put that money towards the tons of diapers you'll need. 😂
I used one with my first son but after a while it just became a storage table lol. I still have it but I don't use it with the new baby
@nikolrae12 Extra storage can be a good thing. I always just buy a large dresser or extra dresser. I totally get it though.
