Is anyone else’s 1 1/2 yr old going through a crying/screaming phase? All Josiah does is screams and cries 😑 I can just look at him and he starts it’s getting so annoying, I’m beyond over it already 🙄
@quanandmelosmommyyy, ohh no! Lol I hope he doesn’t do it that long
My son is 3 and still going through that stage lol . Seriously .
@heidi3581, ahh man! Hopefully it’ll get better for all of us 🤞🏻🤞🏻
@mommy_x3 lol yes thats what vinny does fine one minute and the next he is switching gears and going crazy for no reason
@mommy_x3, probably 19-20 mos or so. Then sister was born @ 22 mos making it worse....
@heidi3581, omg when did he start doing it? I’ve been walking away a lot lately! It gets so frustrating cause he cries over EVERYTHING I just want this phase to be over..
@hocuspocusmama, it’s the worst! I don’t get it at all.. it’s like a switch flips in their heads at this age and all hell breaks loose lol
It’s overwhelmingly annoying and gets down to my deepest nerves. Omg. Its okay to leave them to throw their fits as long as you know the needs are met. It’s gotten a tad easier as he’s starting to say more words and express his needs, but now he’s getting spoiled bc if he doesn’t get what he wants INSTANTLY it’s a whole meltdown screaming fit. I wish I knew the fix! 😵 but I think it’s just this age/stage
Just walk away do look at him or talk to him and when he is done ask if his okay and give hugs and kisses
Yup that's vinny he has been like this for a month now.. If he cant get his way or if i dont pick him up immediately he starts with crying and screaming episodes
@lovelily, that’s what my husband said last night! My oldest went through this phase too around this age. I just wasn’t this bad! But yeah there’s really no winning, either way they’re going to cry 😩
@chelseaz, I’m sure it’ll all pass.. but it’s not passing quick enough lol he’s been at this for about a week now, he started doing this like a month ago and then stopped guess he’s at it again!
Yes. That's Lily 100%. I chalk it up to terrible twos right now. Tantrums. Throwing herself backward and down on the floor. Cries for a cookie, I give her one, she cries because I gave it to her. 😑 I can't win.
I wish we could post videos so I could show you what he does. Im slowly learning to ignore it though and not react. He gets louder when I bring attention to what he’s doing
I can also relate to the throwing himself backwards thing! That’s also what my son does. I’m really hoping it’s just a phase and will pass though. My son threw himself backwards yesterday and hit his head on the corner of a dresser. Luckily he was ok. He also loves to throw himself on the floor while he screams.
@chelseaz, it’s driving me crazy! No matter what we do he continues to cry, we’ve tried ignoring him and taking him to his room and walking out.. he just continues to cry 🤦🏻♀️ and he’s getting to where he throws himself backwards really hard! I can’t tell you how many times he’s hit his head today from doing it 🙄 he cries over literally everything and the baby is losing so much sleep from all the screaming and crying!!
That pretty much describes my 16 month old. Every time he does it, we say “ok you can go to your room and fuss” and then we put him in his crib and walk out. After a minute or two we go back in and he’s in a better mood. He does it every single time he wants something and we tell him no. He threw a toy at the computer during one of his screaming fits this morning.
Half way there 1 and half more hours of screaming i hope
Handmaid's tale got me screaming at the tv!!
I’m genuinely trying to do this self soothing thing. She’s screaming even though she’s clean, dry and fed, her temperatures fine. She screamed for at least 10 minutes 😩😩I had to just go on about my business. It’s not easy😩😩but it had to be done
My back is killing me 😖😖
Anyways,
stupid question but I was watching vaginal births on YouTube & all I see is the moms screaming and screaming pushing until the baby comes out.
Do you always scream? Or are there woman who are silent?? Lol idk stupid question but I got scared watching. 😭😩😂
When do babies start talking my son will be 1 next month and he just screams all the time 😂😂😂😂😩 it’d be nice if he was screaming words !!
@mommy_x3, lol possibly could . I could play a part because I spoiled him.
