@tiinii my only reason I'm leaning towards the paragard is because it has no hormone. And I just go see my doctor 2min from my house
The nexplanon I have to go off the military base and drive an hour an half to a referd doctor just to get the birth control.

@tiinii yeah that was one of my big things on the list is hormone or no hormone and how its gonna make me feel. That's what the website said that its 99 percent effective

I love the nexplaon. I've had it for 5 years and it's been the best birth control ever

@mommyandstepmommy thanks did it make you gain weight, break out, bleed a lot, or any of the side of effects?

I have had the nexplanon for almost 9 months and I'm getting it out Thursday finally! I tried to give it the 6 months time frame to "regulate" and it never did. It works for some women but you won't know until you get it. I've bleed the entire time, months at a time and the longest was April 11th to June 29th and I spot in between periods. And the biggest thing I'm losing my hair! This is me combing my hair out in one session! Not multiple times, not in a few days, just one! This was every day! I went to a dermatologist and found out that I can't use nexplanon, the shot, or any IUDs or my hair will come out like this. And I'm on meds to help regulate my hormones for the next 6 months to go back to normal. Never again!
