Question for girl moms! When did you pierce baby girls ears and where ?

I took her at a tattoo shop and they recommended 6months, so she has all her shots and to make sure her ears have grown a little more. I went to 3places a jewelry shop by my house which said the same thing as the tat place and Claire’s which they were teens doing her ears and they didn’t care what age, so I freaked. I liked the tattoo place better because they know what they are doing.

This is from my experience my first daughter she was around 4 months & my aunt did it & this was 20 years ago & for my other 2 it was at a jewelry store & the tattoo parlor. Yeah I go with the tattoo parlor better they know what they are doing better!!

@leslyev92 her dad wanted it to be her choice..but I wanted them done early... So we decided before she turned one to do it... I was also pretty nervous for her lol

@king_julienne, true, how come you waited till she was 10 months to do them ?

Haven’t pierced them yet, and I won’t do so until she asks her father and I as well as her understanding what she’s asking for. Once that happens, we will take her to a tattoo shop and have the piercer there do it.

I went to a doctor when she was 10mos it was 60$ and they only had two choices aswell.. The way I see it she'll be cute either way and she won't keep those studs forever.. Buying baby girl. Some new ones soon.

@damn.it.red, the ones they had just looked like regular earrings. I feel like the back could be bothersome if she has her head tilted to the side or when we pick her up. 🤷🏻‍♀️ this is my first time so idk lol

@damn.it.red, I saw that but I saw some on tiny blessings, website for baby earrings and they have like a back that screws on and I liked that idea.

@leslyev92, the earrings they do it with have the backs that lock on so they vacant be easily removed if she tugs on her ears.

@beachcutie0808, she just got her shots today and that’s why it was brought up at her appointment but I’m undecided if I want to do it there because I thought I could bring my own earrings but they told me I could only choose from the 2 earrings they have.

I did my first daughters at like 8 wks . Just make sure she started having all her shots first. They wouldn't if she hadnt been to get her shots yet.

@damn.it.red, agreed. I have an appointment with my daughter for a tattoo shop. They are correctly trained to do piercings. Don’t ever go to Claire’s, they pierced mine, and they will forever be uneven

I would honestly get it done at a tattoo parlor with a needle. It’s better than with a gun.
