I had two miscarriages while in nursing school. It’s so stressful

I heard clinicals are very intense and time consuming. I am not yet at the point of clinicals I need to finish my requirements before I can even register for them!

@brianamestichelli, thanks lady. As sad as I was about them, I really don’t think I would have finished if I’d had a baby in nursing school. I know people that definitely have, but for me, I didn’t even have time to work a real job and I sat and studied 10-12 hours a day. If you’re still doing pre reqs I think you’ll be ok bc by the time you start nursing courses your baby will be a bit older. Go for it if it’s something you want! It’s a rewarding career!

@brianamestichelli, I went to a technical college in the city I live in. It’s an ADN program and it was only 5 semesters. I work in the ER and absolutely love it!

@fry.stephanie, I’ve never heard of an ADN program! I am was enrolled at DCCC doing my pre reques. I’ve heard it’s super hard to get into the nursing program so I’m a little bit nervous. Especially having a LO.

@brianamestichelli, it’s def super competitive. Ours was based on a point system depending on the grades you made in your pre reqs. I didn’t get in until the second time I applied. I need to get my bachelors I just really don’t see the point since there’s no pay increase lol. By the time I finished my associates I was just so burned out on school! Good luck to you!
