This being my 4th pregnancy you’d think I would know the answer but can you feel your baby move during contractions? Every single one of my pregnancies have been completely different when it comes to contractions and labor and I just can’t remember. I am having trouble timing them too. I just feel like every other minute I have a cramping pain with tightening but can feel her moving during it. I’ll be 38 weeks on Wednesday.

Yes every time i was contracting i felt my son moving. It was an irritating painful happy feeling for me.

That’s how i am feeling right now. I have a timing app for contractions but can’t seem to use it correctly so i keep missing them and don’t know the accuracy/frequency😑

@brittanymb are you able to rest inbetween contractions?
Krisna·
LOL it's my 4th as well & i literally just googled this the other day. & That is the same thing I'm experiencing. Like I feel these little rolls (which feel very painful/uncomfortable) like either at the end or right before the contraction ends

@brittanymb i timed it by how long i was able to jus relax my muscles n take a deep breath n close my eyes.

@brittanymb same here! Either that or by the time I get to the app & open it I'm like ya what's the point 🤔😂

When I googled this, I read that supposedly the baby is still during a contraction, but then there were other moms commenting that they would feel their baby sooooo I'm still confused 🤔 I googled if your baby moves during a contraction, because at times I was a little confused whether it's the baby moving or a contraction

I am laying in bed but can’t sleep because I’m so uncomfortable and cramping constantly. My back is starting to hurt during these little spouts too. I’ve tried switching positions and there hasn’t been any change in relief. It’s crazy how different your body is each pregnancy but literally every baby has been different when it comes to labor lol

@brittanymb to me whats happening to u compared to what was going on with me was how it was when i was waiting to get further dilated before going into the hospital. I couldnt stay still at all! Or rest. I was like omg but knew i had to wait til i was far enough to where i didnt get sent back home. Has your water broke?
Brittany·
My water hasn’t broken. With each pregnancy I’ve had to have my water broken manually by the doctor. at my appointment last week i was only 1 cm dilated. I just wish i knew if this was just braxton hicks or the real deal and i feel stupid since i should know by now lol but like i said. My last pregnancy i was about to be sent home and then they checked me and i was 5 cm dilated and didn’t know it because my contractions weren’t that bad

@brittanymb oh wow. Yeah see its tricky and no need to feel stupid because everyone and every pregnancy is different. Yeah see when i went in to the hospital i was almost 6cm. But if your feeling too uncomfortable i would just go in to be safe.
Brittany·
Thank you! I am going to try to take a shower or bath to see if that helps. If not i reckon I’ll be waking my husband up to take me lol
