Has anybody else been small with their first child and big with their second but their babies weigh almost the same or close ?
@xryztalroze, just comparing I’m wondering about how much she will weigh because I’m getting bigger with her but not gaining a lot of weight
@mommytoaprinceandaprincess I started out at 140 with my first and 150 with my second. So my ending weight was 15 pounds heavier than with my first but only 5lbs different between pregnancy weight gain in comparison. Do you think the difference will have an affect on her health and development? Are you worried or just paying attention as a comparison of pregnancies? Hope all is well!!!!
Im opposite. I was bigger with my first. But i also had a lot of extra water with him. This time I’m smaller but don’t have extra water.
@xryztalroze, I gained 47 pounds with my son but he was 7 pounds 8 ounces and with the one I’m pregnant with now i have gained 22 pounds but I started at different weight with both of them but comparing my sons and daughter ultrasound week by week because I wrote down weight for each ultrasound with both my daughter is going to be a little smaller
I gained 36 lbs with my first but didn't get big. She was 8 lbs even. I gained 41 lbs with my 2nd and I was as big as a whale!!! She was 8 lbs 1 oz. Size immediately dropped once she was born. It was all belly.
@mommytoaprinceandaprincess your starting weight, eating and exercise haviys, and more can affect how much you gain/maintain. It doesn't always indicate baby's growth or development. You could have a bigger baby with less weight gain or a smaller one with more. Genetics of mom and dad together also play a role. Keep charting but make sure you're not putting undue stress on yourself. As mothers, especially when pregnant, we do that enough already. I'm sure you're doing great. Mainyian good eating habits and drink plenty of water and I'm sure all will be well. How far along are you?
