Do you have to call your insurance and ask about the breast pump?

No. You can use either edgepark.com or aeroflow breastpumps and submit your info. It'll contact the provider and insurance place about it.

Not necessarily, but it's probably easier. So my doctor wrote me a prescription for pharmacy that had select pumps, & other "premium" pumps I had to pay extra to get. My insurance offered the same "premium" pumps for 100% free.

I would call your insurance just to be safe and they will tell you which ones your covered for. Some make you wait until your pass 28 weeks

I also would call them to make sure it's actually covered. Not every insurance company does. But they will tell you what you need. For instance I have to have a prescription from my doctor to get mine.

You call and make sure they cover a breastpump && then they will tell you ur limits, I had a $300 limit for a prescription and if it was higher than $300 I needed an authorization from my Dr. they made me wait until July 23 too actual process my order even though I applied june 21. Since that was my insurance company policy....The insurance company themselves cannot order the breastpump they will tell give you a list of places you can get it from but I personally used edge park and got the Medela double pump and it was super easy! They processed it July 23 and it was shipped July 27 and I get it Tuesday ! I hoped this helped ☺️
