Im really stuck between getting my tubes tied after this baby or having another my boyfriend said he might want one more…

If it’s something you have taken a lot of time to think about and still want to get your tubes tied than that is what’s best for you. Definitely take time to talk to your boyfriend and see if he can get behind supporting your decision. If not it can be hard to do it but sometimes you just have to do what’s best for you. You can still have a child through ivf with your tubes tied but it will be expensive if you change your mind later on in life. Or adoption could always be an option if you change your mind also.

@colorfuldreams, true but the nurse had my son I saw him as soon as he was born they brought him to me so I can kiss his cheek so they can stitch me up and then I went into recovery and they were bathing my son and doing his feetprint on his birth certificate and I wanted them to out his feetprint in my baby book and they did all that for me I trusted them so I rested , my mom was right there the whole time so I was comfortable .... and when I woke up again I fed him and cuddled him .. when u get a csection they dont put u to sleep just numb from the waiste down but in my case it was an emergency m I was freaking out so they had to put me to sleep but they woke me up just so I can see him right when he was born and kiss him

The main reason I’ve been deciding against c section is the whole, being asleep when she comes part. I want to be first to hold my baby. It’s a moms right, we did all the work 😂😂

@colorfuldreams, c section is a whole different experience I didnt get to hold my son right away because I was asleep from the medicine I woke up when they were giving him a bath . If u push you get ur baby right away

@colorfuldreams, true , im not sure honestly I got a spinal tap and an epidural because my epidural wore off and for the c section I had to get a spinal tap .... honestly you should try and see if you can push and if any complications they’ll give u a emergency c section .. I honestly wish I could of pushed my son out

@emontesmom, I heard from a few moms that recovery is longer with epidural.

It seems like more people these days get a c section too.

I’m still back and forth on if I should get a c section or not.

One plus is you don’t Tare because they just cut you open

@colorfuldreams, I had the epidural when I was trying to push my son .. vaginally u cant have sex for 6 weeks cause healing so I think c section healing is better time wise .. but im not sure honestly

@emontesmom, Do you think c section or natural birth is longer recovery ?

@colorfuldreams, after 4 days I could so some stuff on my own but to be completely healed where the scar dont hurt anymore it took 2 weeks

@colorfuldreams, no its fine girl I understand , honestly its painful the healing process it hurts to bend or sit stand and stand up and my boyfriend had to help me do anything but I didn’t want pain medicine I was just taking the pain until it was unbearable then I would take something .... and yeah they prefer it after having one ..

@colorfuldreams, yeah I know I just want to get them toed because it is reversible just in case but im gon think about it .. if I end up wanting no more children im gon get them burned and cut and all that

It’s actually still possible to get pregnant even if your tubes are tied.

It’s low chance but it can happen.

My friends mom actually had hers tied and still got pregnant. Surprise baby ^^’

I also heard getting your tubes tied is reversible.

If I was that uncertain then I would not be able to commit to getting my tubes tied when I could just use contraceptives until I know for sure

@leroydoom, I think its by age here its 21 and im 23 so I think I would be able to they didnt let me with my son cause they wanted me to at least have one more

Just wondering, has your doctor okayed getting your tubes tied? I know age/amount of children you have varies by state.

@leroydoom, yeah I had that before and got it removed because we wanted another baby ... I might get it again ive though about it I just dont know if I even want to get on birth control I always gain alot of weight on birth control ... idk I gotta figure it out though

Have you considered long lasting birth control? I have the nexplanon which is good for three years, it'll give you time to decide for sure at least.
