Not one to share family stuff but my mom has some medical issues going on that I don’t want to get into but they are stressing me out a little bit at the moment. She cannot drive over for my baby shower this weekend. She isn’t going to die and it’s nothing extremely serious, I just want to spend time with my mom. So I was going to go to her. She is 5 hours away though. I was going to have my husband drive me but we have company coming next week when I want to go. The company is not staying with us and we just saw them a month ago. I would like for him to take my side and take me but he is very family oriented as well and wants to be here to see his cousin. And the following weekend we won’t be able to go because he has to work. Ugh! Seriously I want to cry this has been a terrible time to be pregnant. I don’t want to drive myself over cause I don’t trust myself to drive that far at this point. Plus if he drives I can relax and stretch and move around a little bit.

@gypsymomma oh okay..I personally wouldn't go 5 hrs away at that point in my pregnancy.. I believe it should be what u want and your husband should go pick her up and bring her back and maybe you can pick if u want to go as well for the ride there or ride back depends how u feel.. 💓
@hollya1221, thank you that’s very sweet of you. I’m just at a loss. She wasn’t able to make it to the baby shower I had last weekend either. I know she’s heart broken over it, I know I am that’s for sure. Maybe I’ll switch doctors really quick and go have the baby at the hospital where she lives so she can see him and spend some time with him. 😢
@sorcha, I could but I’m not sure anyone would be able to go this short notice. I will ask around though. Thank you for the idea.
@sherrynygirl, she can’t travel right now. I do have the okay to drive still even though I’m this far in my pregnancy.
Maybe see if a friend could drive you. If you plan it out and take some breaks along the way you should be ok. But you know your body best.
Honestly, if he can't, I'd find a friend who could take you.
Can't anyone other than your husband get her... Your too long in your pregnancy to drive 5hrs away 1 way ..I wouldn't feel comfortable going that far even I was driven.Can she fly or take a greyhound maybe the day before
