I took my daughter when I had my first son, I had packed a labor backpack for her too, it had clothes, crayons, coloring book, snacks, and orgain kids protein drink.

I took my son with me to the hospital. He was in my husbands arms and watched his brother be born.

I didn't know what i would do with Athena until the week before delivery. I was so worried but we ended up figuring it out. Dont freak out, just think of your options. And if you take her to delivery most hospitals will let you bring in your pack n play and let your baby in the room with you while you deliver. However for a csection she cannot be present. She will need to be surpervised in the waiting room and nurses wont help

Talk to the hospital or your doctor, when I worked in the er we had the hospital social workers come play games or watch movies in the waiting room with kids while parents were being treated.

You better call ahead of time and ask. Or else your hubby will be at home with your daughter. 😳
