So my doctor hasn’t done an ultrasound on me since I was 12 weeks pregnant . 🤔 I’m about to be 24 weeks & still NO…

My old doctor was like that she did only 3 ultrasounds my whole pregnancy but this one does it every month which is pretty awesome haha :)

@msalohakitty, ahhh my previous pregnancy I had a different doctor & boyyyyy he would do ultrasound every single time I had a appointment. But I didn’t like that he didn’t deliver my baby, & plus I could of had a V-BAC, but that’s why this time around I moved .

@jmedina, yes I asked my doctor , he said in two weeks I should get one 🙄 , but once I go for my regular OB appointment I have to make another appointment for JUST the ultrasound .

@babyayleensmommy, that’s the thing , I found out the gender by blood work .. 🤔 they didn’t do an ultrasound so I don’t know if blood work is more accurate then an ultrasound . But I asked my doctor when I’ll be getting an ultrasound, his like in two weeks . But when I go for my regular OB appointment, I have to make ANOTHER appointment for just an ultrasound. 😑

That is a little weird. You should have had one around 20 weeks. I would be asking your doctor why you didn't because the anatomy scan is an important one.

My doctor likes to do them on her patients to create a strong bonding experience and she’s just really nice lol a lot of doctors don’t do many tho 😕

Yup, usually 2 ultrasounds unless medically warranted. I had 4 because of gestational diabetes and low fetal heart rate. You are 24 weeks with no anatomy scan yet? They usually do those between16-20 weeks.

No matter what insurance you should have one around 20 weeks for you anatomy scan. I would ask because that is the most important one.

My doctor was the same didn't get another one till they told me the gender and that was the very last one she only would listen to her heartbeat.

Yes. Depends on the office and what insurance covers. I know of some only get one!

You should have gotten your anatomy scan if you haven't yet then probably soon
