I need advice. My daughter hasn’t been a picky eater and at first let me feed her anything. Now she’s a year old, and suddenly refuses to eat any vegetables. I try to always prepare healthy meals but now she won’t ever eat the veggies or grains I give her. How do I get her to eat?
So I watched this doco not long ago about joe children from 1-3 years old taste buds change around this age making foods seem more sour than they really are. The reason for this is it has been genetically passed down from generation to generation and was a defensive mechanism build into a child from a young age to stop them eating certain things whilst out hunting and gathering that would kill them. Now I’m not saying it’s 100% true but it does seem plausible given that most babies go through this stage around that age.
She absolutely loves fruits, breads, and meat. She’ll eat any kind of sandwich I make, she loves chicken, and dairy like yogurt and cottage cheese. But the only vegetable she’ll willingly eat is frozen peas. I just don’t want her turning out as a picky eater and becoming unhealthy
@momme same with mine! Now she tries everything basically! Btw it says your on baby #8 oldest is 20?! How u do it lol???
It seems like they go through phases of liking things and then refusing to eat them, and then liking them again. My son is an amazing eater, but he goes through phases like this too. Don't stop offering the things they are refusing. I always try to make sure there is at least 1 thing on his plate that I know for sure he'll eat. If he doesn't eat the rest, oh well. He has always gone back to eating really well.
@momme lol well still kudos to you!!! On on baby #2 and worry lmao
