Has anyone ever had their two almost three year old, and four month old share a room? Connor has a twin bed and Trevor has his crib. I was thinking of putting the baby monitor in the crib so I can hear trev crying. But I’m just nervous, I usually have trev sleep next to my side of the bed in his pack and play. Connor wakes up once or twice during the night so I want to avoid both being up but he’s just getting too big for his bassinet in the pack and play.

That's sounds like a terrible idea. Then every time baby wakes, the toddler wakes. Then u have to deal with 2 instead of one. Plus u have to worry about toddler understanding play time boundaries with baby.

@cbrebelkat, well the baby sleeps through the night, he has his last bottle by 9-10 and he’s asleep until 5-6. Connor doesn’t like to play with the baby, he just doesn’t have any interest at all with him. I was also thinking of bringing the crib in our room, but I’ll need to re arrange my room.

U know your kids best and I only have the one. So, it's just a personal judgement call

@cbrebelkat, totally understandable. I’m probably going to move the crib in our room, that way if one is up then we can keep from the other being up too

My kids shared a room since the day we brought my son home from the hospital , my daughter the oldest has always been a mother figure to my son they are so close now I believe that is why and I believe it will be harder now to have them separate into different rooms

I had my 4 year old and my 3 month old share a room for nearly a year.
It went well, there were a few hiccups but generally they did great. And by hiccups I mean, naturally on occasion they woke each other up but not too often.
Depends on the kids I guess.

I’ll have 2 under 2 as of February and was kind of wondering the same thing but then thought it’d be best if I just started them sharing a room from day one so they’re used to it right away and get acclimated to one another’s sleep patterns. I guess it’ll be bad if the baby is up every hour but I’m thinking by 4 months old baby #2 will be sleeping all night because my first son was sleeping all night by then so I’d suggest putting them together like you said, monitor on the crib and lullabies playing in the background to drown out any noise
