Alright mommies on birth control(preferably Mirena) itβs been almost 8 months since I got this darn thing put in, does anyone else around this time still have issues with bleeding (mainly after sex) or should I be concerned?

Friend at work went the whole damn 5 yrs with Mirena bleeding twice a month, sometimes 3 periods a month. Then she bled for 3months straight when she got it taken out, had to have a D&C and ablation to finally stop the bleeding. Obviously an extreme situation but the doc told her it never worked for her and she should have had it taken out after the 6 month window of it not stopping her periods.

I bleed a little after sex with it. Otherwise I have no period. But I'm thinking of switching out to the copper IUD.
