So my MIL wants to come stay with us after I have the baby to "help out". I told her no because she spent the weekend with us and literally could not follow any of the requests I made. I told her where on MY property she could go to smoke and gave her an ashtray to put her finished cigarettes in and asked her to wash her hands when she came back in. She did none of that. So I told her she is not coming back here again until she's ready to follow my rules. Sorry, you stay in my house you follow my rules. Simple.

@laniejay Lol yeah because that's sooooo helpful 🙄 my MIL came to "spend the weekend with her granddaughter" and basically slept the whole time.
@emily526, 😂 my MILs idea of helping after the baby was born was to hold him for hours while I cleaned and cooked for her. 😳
@patrycjalai Totally agree! I want this time with my husband because we didn't get it with my 1st he wasn't home for a few months after she was born.
Exactly my reason why I told my mother no to coming over from Poland to stay with us in USA after Madeline was born. She smokes and can’t follow rules. Also it’s an intimate time I wanted with my baby and husband only.
@emily526, yes my mom smokes too. When she comes to stay she has to vape and only at night after the kids have gone to bed and she showers after. Don’t care. My house, my rules. 🤷🏻♀️
@cams My daughter has some minor issues with her lungs and we were told not to have her around smokers at all even with the smell on their clothes. I just find it ridiculous that some people literally can't go a few hours without smoking. My mother's a smoker, but when my daughter comes over she doesn't smoke at all until we leave. I was a pretty heavy smoker before I got pregnant with my 1st and I was able to go all day without smoking if I knew I was going to be around kids.
Yea....I wouldn’t want a smoker around my newborn anyway. 🤷🏻♀️
Girl my sister in law is doing the same shit and is taking every little piece of me not to spaz and kick her out. She’s staying we’re helping her, She mooches off of us and on top of it I told her smoking her stupid weed is prohibited in or around here yet she thinks because she closes the vent of her central air, I don’t see she’s snuck some smoking in her room. I’ve spaz on my husband to do something about it, But when it comes to his family he takes it easy 🙄
