I'm so aggravated. My mom keeps calling me upset about my SIL. She has 3 children already mind you…

Have you try getting her help for her drug abuse??

Omg this is awful.

Maybe she is not willfully choosing the drugs over her child. She problay has an honest addiction and cannot change it herself. I work in the medical field and see many individuals who struggle and they are always being judged. You never really know how someone is trying to cope or what they are battling with in their mind even if they are family. Try getting her help, maybe mental help and please do not be so quick to want her children taken away. We all struggle with different things hun. Just think about If you were in the situation if you needed help but did not know how to help yourself.

@noenahiza we tried helping her before she even had children. My mother even talked to the kids doctors about her issues but if she does drugs that arent in her system during labor and/or are prescribed theres nothing they can force her to do or take her children away. My parents are both around 50 and are taking care of her 3 little ones. Which trust me I know they love their grandchildren but that's besides the point.. everything we suggested even if we paid for rehab etc. she has denied trying.. shes just so stubborn and selfish and denies her drug problem 😭 it's honestly heart breaking to me but enough is enough.. you can't help a drug addict unless if they want help.. I just hate our system because they really dont help people get off drugs they just give them legal drugs 😔

@kendrab im sorry you have to go thru this and being pregnant. But there's so much you can do and like you said enough is enough. I hope she can realize she needs help before it's to late.

@williamsl.miesha read the comment I responded to before. She denies her drug problems and any help offered and my parents are so sweet about it as well we've tried everything my mother spent quite a bit of money to help her and she doesnt last more than a couple days and quits and goes back to her same old. Theres nothing more we can do to help. I've been around drug addicts enough in my life but with the way she treats and pawns her children she shouldn't be a loud around them or able to have more. It's to the point enough is enough and I feel horrible for my parents having to deal with them in that house my mum has way to many health issues to be able to deal with 3 little ones

@noenahiza I'm 4 and a half hours away from home so I can't help my mum with her children ): but I pray every day she realizes what shes doing and to seek for help&change but as the years pass I lose more and more hope for her to better herself and it sucks to feel so helpless ):

@kendrab keep praying🙏 god will do his part just don't lose hope on her. And don't feel helpless im sure if you were close you would be there helping her.

💔💔💔 I totally understand my cousin is hooked on drugs really bad she had a daughter or have a daughter that's grown now and dealing with her terrible relationship and it's just been a bad bad situation all the way around so I totally do understand

@soon-2b-mother-of-3 I believe my parents have custody of 2 of the 3 kids but then she also lives with them... so it's like a mess.. and I totally agree the system doesnt help they let people abuse it too easy :/ but I'm really sorry to hear about your cousin 😔 it's hard to watch and it's even harder to know no one can help if they dont want help 😔

@kendrab understood hun, but just pray God can turn anyone and anything around. As I said addiction is hard its never easy for that person to want to change. It takes a lot of work.
